Software Mechanics is a privately held software publisher with development headquarters in Brisbane, Australia.
Since 1990, Software Mechanics has developed and published PC software for printing, document presentation, data extraction and online collaboration using open standards.
Products are available as shrink-wrapped and downloadable software solutions. Components are licensed to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) where they are either embedded into applications or, alternatively, provided as companion applications or utilities. Software Mechanics provides licenses, reseller agreements, and product integration services to independent software vendors, hardware vendors and system integrators.
Software Mechanics contributes engineering resources to selected open source projects that implement open standards, including The Batik SVG Toolkit, Mozilla SVG, and SVG Web.
